Add to Cart Add to Lightbox1908 Indian Twin Torpedo Tank Racer, on loan from the Jill and John Parham Collection at the National Motorcycle Museum. In 1907 Teddy Hastings, a New York racer, went to England, raced a stock Indian V-twin and won the 1000 Mile Reliability Trial there. In 1908 he returned and rode with factory support on a machine similar to this one. By 1908 they offered a “production racer” to the public, allowing competitors outside the Indian factory to compete and promote the Indian brand. Photographed by Michael Lichter in Sturgis, SD.
